Event in detail

Step into the world of ultimate rejuvenation and inner power with the launch of Wild Swimming Dips at Zen Jungle Retreats' Freedom Lake! Every Monday and Thursday morning at 9am, you're invited to join us for a refreshing plunge into the lake, followed by a cozy brew session at the bistro where connections are made and stories are shared. For those seeking inner peace, an optional post-swim meditation awaits you. And if you can't make it for an early morning, we've also added a Friday midday session, allowing you to extend the experience with a delicious lunch at The Eye Bistro.

Nestled amidst the lush greenery and tranquility of the woodland to the South, sunrise to the East and fresh sea air from the West, Freedom Lake offers a picturesque setting that will transport you to a realm of serenity and calm. Immerse yourself in the invigorating life force energy of water, surrounded by the natural beauty of the valley. Our seasoned cold water team will guide you through the experience, helping you harness the power of controlled breathing and focused mindfulness.

Embracing the invigorating embrace of cold water swimming offers a range of benefits for both the mind and body. Mentally, the shock of the cold water jolts you out of any thought noise, leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. The rush of endorphins creates a natural high, boosting your mood and leaving you with a sense of euphoria. In addition, the meditative quality of being submerged in water also helps clear your mind of any clutter, providing a sense of calm and mental clarity.

Physically, cold water swimming can have a multitude of positive effects on the body. The cold water stimulates circulation, helping to improve blood flow and overall cardiovascular health. Immersing yourself in cold water can also help reduce inflammation in the body, aiding in muscle recovery and reducing muscle soreness. The cold water also boosts your immune system, increases your metabolism, and even promotes healthier skin.

Overall, the benefits of cold water swimming extend far beyond just a refreshing dip. It offers a holistic experience that can rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit, making it a wonderful practice to incorporate into your routine for overall well-being. The added support of dipping with a group makes this experience one of fun and community. So why not take the plunge and experience the transformative effects of cold water swimming for yourself?
